Pictured below is what has been codenamed the BlackBerry London. The picture was found amongst some slides recently and shows the device as it presently could look. A previous image found late last year showed a more angular type device similar in looks to the P'9981 from Porsche design.
The image before is likely to have been an earlier prototype model as the new one looks a little different and closer to a BlackBerry PlayBook in design.
Three models are expected to be launched this year with the London (codename) being launched in the UK and the Laguna and Lisbon headed out to the US on AT&T, Sprint and Verizon.
Looking at the hardware it runs a TI OMAP5 or Qualcomm chipset both of which are likely to be clocked at 1.5GHz. It isn't clear which device will get which chipset, but that could depend on the networking being GSM or CDMA.
RIM is going through a bit of a transition at the moment with new leaders at the top. The device could first launch in London where RIM has quite a strong presence in the UK. Contrary to that, we have heard that the Lisbon and Laguna might be first to launch in the US although a lot is just speculation at the moment.
